ldaphelper: A Python Extension Library for python-ldap

As developed for my article series on Python LDAP applications

Author: M Butcher
Date: 2008-01-25 11:54:39 -0500

A while back, I wrote a series of articles on developing LDAP applications with Python (the series was published on the Packt website).

In the second part of that series, I introduced a custom library. This library, ldaphelper, was designed to make it easier to work with LDAP search results.

Well, I figured I ought to make the library generally available as a download, instead of making people cut-n-paste, re-code, or reinvent the wheel.

It is released under an MIT-style license, so you have a lot of freedom to use it how you want to. If you have patches you'd like to share, email me (see the README). You're free to fork it, of course, and use it however you see fit.

ldaphelper-1.tgz

You will still need the excellent python-ldap library to make much use of ldaphelper.

(As far as I know, this should work on Windows and MacOS X as well as under UNIX-like systems. If you find any bugs on those platforms, please let me know.)
